The Challenge Can a Transformer sow?
Horsch offers a wide range of different products for farmers, mainly focusing on seed drills.
The lead agency had developed an exciting campaign for a new innovative product. We were delighted with the idea during our initial discussions. The implementation was a real challenge! But in the end, we completed it successfully using the full range of our experience.
In the Beginning Key visual
First, a character had to be created in 3D. In the first step it was important to build perfect geometry and textures for the use as a key visual. The second challenge was that this geometry for the video had to be animatable.
As a basis we received drafts from the agency, the client sent us tons of CAD data.
From this data we put together an extensive pool of possible components. The parts were scaled, converted, assembled and textured until the first task – the key visual – was optimally solved.
The whole bird was then provided with an animatable rigg, which could be used for the later animation.

The Story 3D animation
Together with our office partner Kambeckfilm we started planning the story. The team of Kambeckfilm took over the production of the live action shots. We implemented the transformer animation.
A Round Thing Touch App for Smartphones
The campaign was an overwhelming success for the client. For this reason the character was also to be used for a smartphone app.
We optimized the geometry and packed the Innofalcon interactively in 3D together with clickable hotspots into an app that was also optimized for less powerful devices.
All in all, the character was convincing throughout the entire campaign across all media!
